If so, I have been waiting for you, Your Majesty.”
When Zakir replied, “Yes,” the old man told him to find the ninth statue, saying it was his father’s wish. He handed Zakir a magical mirror and said, “This mirror will reflect only one girl in the kingdom — that girl is your ninth statue.”Zakir took the mirror, and the old man vanished. He began searching every house in the kingdom, showing the mirror to each maiden, but no reflection appeared. Days passed as he continued his search.
One day, he heard a melodious song coming from a house and stopped to listen. Curious to see the girl singing, he entered the house and asked her father for permission to meet her. The man said, “Your Majesty, it is my honor to have you here. You may see her now.”The nobleman called his daughter, and when she came out, Zakir held up the mirror. To his astonishment, a beautiful figure appeared in it. “Yes! I’ve found the ninth statue! My princess!” he cried with joy. He was captivated by her beauty and fell in love with her.
Zakir asked her father for her hand in marriage, and the old man gladly agreed. Zakir returned to the palace, told his mother everything, and she too blessed the union. Zakir married the old man’s daughter, fulfilling his father’s wish. He and his princess ruled the kingdom with wisdom and justice for many years.
